In the continuation of the ongoing movement to uproot the fascist Yunus regime, the Bangladesh Awami League will observe August 5 as the day when democracy was destroyed and students, people and police were killed and injured due to the July conspiracy.
In July-August of last year, anti-liberation and anti-state forces nurtured by Pakistani ideology had hatched a deep internal and international conspiracy to seize power illegally.
In the name of the anti-quota movement, they had brought students onto the field and incited the people against the Bangladesh Awami League, the government, and the police force.
Then, through planning hundreds of barbaric killings, looting, and arson, they had ruined the country’s development march, democratic environment, and reputation by deteriorating the law and order.

Finally, on August 5th, when a plan was made to kill the five-time Prime Minister, Bangabandhu’s daughter and Awami League President, Desh Ratna Sheikh Hasina, she voluntarily relinquished power.
The conspirators did not allow her to resign according to the rules. She wanted to submit her resignation to President Mohammed Shahabuddin and go to Tungipara and continue the democratic trend by organising elections.
But the conspirator Yunus Gang and his terrorist and militant forces killed more than 3,000 policemen that day and illegally seized state power.
With the aim of wiping out the Awami League, thousands of leaders and activists have been brutally killed since July, their houses are being looted and burned, business establishments and land are being seized, and thousands of leaders and activists have been forced to leave their homes and the country.

More than 150,000 party leaders and activists have been detained in prison without trial, and 500,000 leaders and activists are being accused and harassed in more than 80,000 fake cases.
The accused in these false cases are being tortured and killed in prison. In the name of trials, party leaders and activists, including Desh Ratna Sheikh Hasina, are being harassed.
However, the people responsible for these crimes have confessed at different times because this government has given them immunity.
In the past year, people have seen that they were actually deceived. But hundreds of ordinary people have fallen prey to the greed of selfish people. This illegal fascist government led by the Jamaat has revealed its true nature by sitting in the parliament and despising the Liberation War, Bangabandhu, and the Constitution.

They are looting various posts through nepotism to fulfill their personal interests. However, they do not care about the problems of the people.
The government-backed mob terrorists are implementing all the blueprints of a deteriorating law and order, curtailing the freedom of the media, increasing the prices of commodities, destroying employment by closing industries, stopping the incentives of the social security system, and selling the country to please foreign masters.
Today, Bangladesh is known all over the world as a terrorist-militant state. However, under the courageous leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter, Sheikh Hasina, Bangladesh gained global recognition as a developing, dignified nation.
This year marks the 50th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The Awami League is determined to transform the grief of August into strength and defeat this monstrous force by taking the people with us and rebuilding the country.
For this, leaders and activists of the Awami League at all levels must unite. Everyone must prepare for the long march towards the Jamuna as a final attempt to overthrow the looter, murderer, and fascist Yunus.
