Police have arrested the principal of a madrasa in Savar, Dhaka, over allegations of sexually harassing a female student. The incident has sparked outrage and concern among local residents and guardians.
According to police and local sources, the accused principal allegedly called the student to a private place and behaved inappropriately with her. After the matter became known to the victimโs family, they filed a written complaint at the local police station.
Based on the complaint, police conducted an operation and arrested the accused principal. After preliminary interrogation, he was sent to court. Authorities also arranged medical examinations and legal support for the victim.
