Awami League concerned over Pakistanization of Bangladesh under Yunus regime

The Bangladesh Awami League has observed with deep concern that the illegal usurper, killer-fascist Yunus and his clique seized state power by adopting an anti-Liberation War and anti-Bangladesh stance.

They made a heinous attempt to distort the history of the Liberation War and to erase its memory from all levels of the state and society. The destructive activities of these anti-national forces prove that no one except the Awami League has the capacity to protect the spirit and aspirations of the Great Liberation War of Bangladesh, the party said in a statement.

Muhammad Yunus is called Jongibandhu for his jihadist links

After illegally seizing state power in violation of the Constitution, the fascist Yunus clique allowed pro-Pakistan extremist communal militant groups to expand. Bangladesh began to be run under a Pakistani prescription. A false narrative of so-called โ€œanti-Indiaโ€ sentiment was deliberately raised, while the collective achievement of the Bengali nationโ€™s independence was maliciously branded as an โ€œIndian conspiracy.โ€ By calling Bangladeshโ€™s hard-earned independence a conspiracy, they shamelessly belittled the heroic national struggle.

Recently, Pakistan-based media outlet The Catchline published an article labeling Bangladeshโ€™s Liberation War as an โ€œIndian conspiracyโ€ and went as far as to claim: โ€œNow is the time to bring East Pakistan back to its natural state.โ€

1971: Pakistanโ€™s guilt will not go away

Action-packed cantonment and ISI loyalist generals: Whatโ€™s happening in the army?

Demand for return to East Pakistan, led by Yunus-Azmi, growing in Islamabad, Dhaka

Over the past year, the visible presence of the Pakistani ambassador at various events, and the subversive activities of Pakistani politicians and ministers regarding Bangladesh, have been alarming.

While the illegal usurper governmentโ€”which destroyed everything related to the Liberation Warโ€”made a hollow show of asking Pakistan for an apology for the 1971 genocide, Pakistanโ€™s foreign minister arrogantly dismissed it as a โ€œsettled issue.โ€ Yet, this anti-Liberation, anti-national illegitimate regime failed to lodge even a minimal protest, turning the matter into a farce.

The people of Bangladesh want to know: why does this foreign-serving, illegitimate, usurper government show such submissiveness to Pakistan? Why is the defeated force again being given the chance to play games with the fate of the nation and to question the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh? Pakistani political leaders, military and civil bureaucrats, and intelligence agencies (ISI) continue their subversive activities regarding Bangladesh, seeking to discredit the Great Liberation War. Even so, the illegitimate governmentโ€™s special leanings toward Pakistan threaten to endanger the very achievements of the Bengali nation.

โ€œThe brutal atrocities and barbarities committed by the Pakistani rulers and occupation forces during our glorious Liberation War cannot be sidelined in the name of cordial relations. Such attempts dishonour the sacrifice of the martyrs and ignore history. We firmly believe that all patriotic people who believe in the spirit of the Liberation War will unite to resist these conspiracies, Inshallah.โ€
