Slogans written in the name of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina have been found on sacks of rice prepared for distribution under the governmentโs Vulnerable Group Feeding (VGF) program, sparking discussion on social media.
According to local sources, a photo of a VGF rice sack recently circulated online showing a slogan that read: โSheikh Hasina left two years of Saddam firmly secured.โ The unusual message written on the sack quickly drew attention and created curiosity among locals.
The sacks were reportedly stored at a warehouse before being distributed among beneficiaries under the VGF program. However, it remains unclear who wrote the slogan on the sacks and for what purpose.
After the images spread on social media, the matter came under scrutiny. Local administrative sources said that writing such slogans on items meant for a government social safety net program is inappropriate.
Officials stated that the issue is being looked into and that necessary action will be taken if anyone is found responsible. Authorities also emphasized the importance of maintaining neutrality and transparency in government welfare programs such as the VGF initiative, which is intended to support low-income and vulnerable communities.
