37 Cattle Stolen in Bhola Within a Week, Allegations of Involvement of Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal Activists

At least 37 cattle have reportedly been stolen from different areas of Bhola district within the past week, raising concern among local residents. Victims have alleged that some local activists of Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal may be involved in the incidents.

According to local sources, cattle are being stolen from farms and household cowsheds in several upazilas during the night. The repeated incidents have created fear and anger among residents, while many farmers and livestock owners have suffered significant financial losses.

Available information indicates that in the last week alone, 11 cattle were stolen in Tajumuddin upazila, 13 in Char Fasson upazila, 7 in Borhanuddin upazila, and another 6 from other parts of the district. In total, locals claim that 37 cattle have been stolen.

Victims believe that an organized gang is behind the thefts. They allege that some members of the group may have links with activists from Chhatra Dal and Jubo Dal, although the claims have not yet been officially confirmed.

Several affected farmers said the thieves are breaking into cowsheds at night in a planned manner and taking the cattle away. Some residents also claimed that suspicious individuals had been seen moving around the areas before the incidents.

Locals say such a large number of cattle thefts within a short period is unprecedented in the district, creating a sense of insecurity among people.

Local administration and police officials said the incidents are being taken seriously and are under investigation. Legal action will be taken if the allegations are proven.

However, no statement has yet been received from those accused in connection with the allegations.
