Bangabandhuโs daughter, Awami League President and five-time Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, has sought Allahโs blessings to handcuff Dr. Muhammad Yunus, tie a rope around his waist and put him in jail.
โMay Allah grant me the opportunity to put him in jail. I only pray for that. I ask for your prayers, I will do it, Inshallah. They gave indemnity to the killers of Bangabandhu, I tried them. Those who were given indemnity from July 15, 2024, will one day be tried in Bangladesh,โ she said in a virtual discussion.
โI don’t care if they punish me or not. I don’t care about that punishment. But I know that Allah will give me a chance. There will be no indemnity; everyone will be tried. Make the lists and take action. From now on, wherever you are, you too will have to recognise your enemies. An eye for an eye, a hand for a hand, keeping in mind the words of the Quran; I want everyone to take action with what they have.โ
Sheikh Hasina said that the Yunus gang wanted to suppress the Awami League by threatening them with cases. At one stage, there were illegal weapons in their hands.

โThey have also challenged the army, and our army sees them as children. What kind of children are these who can beat a person’s mother, can beat a father, and can slap an 80-year-old father on the cheek? Waker Sahib will realise in the future what kind of children they are. He will realise and act accordingly only when he is slapped.โ
They have destroyed the administration, killed the police and burned down all the police outposts, she said. โNow, by filing cases against army officers and harassing them, by destroying those who protect the sovereignty of independence, Yunus has risen up today to destroy the sovereignty of Bangladesh.โ
She said that the country must be saved from this evil force. Therefore, everyone must unite with what they have. All these evil forces are bound to be defeated by a united Awami League. And those who burned your houses, insulted your mothers, tortured your children, will get no mercy. There is no mercy.
โHow many Awami Leagues will they kill? Awami League rises from the ashes like a phoenix. It has proven itself time and again, and we must stand up like that.

โI am not dead, I am alive. Their intention was to kill me [on August 5], yet I am alive. Allah, the Almighty, has kept me alive. Surely one day I will get the opportunity, and those who attacked and tortured my leaders and activists will be given punishment. Yunus will be given appropriate punishment. He cannot escape from this.โ
She said that the Awami League never came to power, signing an undertaking to sell the country; rather, it worked for development.
Sheikh Hasina asked party workers to go to the people and inform them about the development initiatives implemented by the Awami League government in the past 15 years.
โPeople are our strength. Tell them what we have done for them, that they were at peace for 15 years. We have done everything: from educating children to providing medical services, by reaching people’s doorsteps.

โToday was a difficult time. I did not want to come from the country. I did not know where I came from. I fell into a conspiracy. But I am alive.โ
She deplored that everything, starting from the Sudha Sadan to the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, โwith the memories that I lived with, have also been burned and destroyed. There is no sign left to live with. I have nothing to ask for. All I want now is for our Awami League leaders and activists in Bangladesh, freedom fighters who have been victims of injustice, who are being tortured and tortured, to remedy this.โ
Sheikh Hasina said that her party will repair the distortion of the history of the Liberation War, and will make arrangements so that everyone, regardless of religion or caste, can live peacefully in Bangladesh.
