The Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad (SHSP) has expelled London-based expatriate Bangladeshi M. Salauddin for violating the discipline of the organisation while holding the post of general secretary despite being warned multiple times.
Founded in 2024, the SHSP is an organisation approved by the Awami League President, five-time Prime Minister, daughter of Bangabandhu Desh Ratna Sheikh Hasina. It is registered in several countries, including the UK.
In a statement issued on Monday, the SHSP said that Salauddin did not respond to the show-cause notice issued on August 28 to explain his stance in connection with the allegations of embezzlement of funds, extortion in exchange for giving posts, making decisions arbitrarily, spreading rumours and misconduct with the members of the organisation.
On that day, his post was suspended until a formal investigation into the allegations of misconduct, extortion and embezzlement of Tk51,000 from the fund was completed.
Despite failing to comply with the decisions, Salauddin launched a smear campaign against the SHSP top leadership and members after he illegally expelled everyone who raised complaints against him. On September 7, Salauddin also nominated some people to replace the expelled leaders of the SHSP.

Meanwhile, Salauddin threatened SHSP President Tofazzel Hossain Ronu and several top leaders via text messages of ordering mob attacks by Jamaat-NCP gangs and making videos using the anarchist YouTubers of the Yunus regime to slander the dissent voices.
Considering the situation, the SHSP members, led by its President Tofazzel Hossain Ronu, decided to expel Salauddin from the organisation for serious violations of discipline.
The statement also urged the journalists and the members of the Awami League and its affiliated organisations to be aware of the fraudulent activities of Salauddin.
The SHSP warned of legal action if Salauddin continues to use the name of Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad to make personal gains since it is an organisation registered in several countries, including the UK, the US, Canada and South Korea.
The full text of the statement is given below:
Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad was established in 2024 by the initiative of expatriate Bangladeshis with the aim of bringing back Desh Ratna Sheikh Hasina, the embodiment of development, to her homeland with dignity and to reconstruct the country by uniting the members of the Awami League family who hold the ideals of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu, through democratic and intellectual programs online and on the streets, defeating the evil forces of murderers, fascists, fraudsters, looters and occupying forces who led the golden Bangladesh to destruction.
After that, we gradually announced branch committees in some countries. In addition, workers of the Mujib ideology from different countries of the world, including Bangladesh, started joining the central committee.
The members of the central council note with great regret that for the past few days, M. Salahuddin, a London expatriate, has been tarnishing the image of Bangladesh Awami League and Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad by spreading rumours on social media for personal gain, using the title of General Secretary of the organisation.
He has bypassed the president and other senior leaders of the organisation in the hope of personal financial benefits and has added people of his choice to the central committee and branch committees of various countries, many of whom are controversial for their past activities.
M Salahuddin is even rehabilitating people associated with the 1971 murderous Razakars and Jamaat-Shibir on his own initiative.
He has insulted the leaders of the central parliament (including female members) in obscene language for protesting against these misdeeds and has threatened to physically harm someone and harass them by spreading false and insulting videos, which is against organisational rules and regulations and is also a criminal offense.
At the same time, M Salahuddin has issued instructions to dismiss some members without considering anyone’s opinion and avoiding organisational procedures.
When the president of the organisation and other senior leaders wanted to discuss these issues, he refused and tried to establish his will through indecent behaviour. He also spread rumours on social media in the name of his opponents.
A show-cause notice was issued against him on August 28 as an organisational measure for illegally withdrawing Tk51,000 from the welfare fund of Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad. In addition, his post was suspended until the investigation was completed.
Enraged by this, M. Salauddin unilaterally reconstituted the committee on September 7 with his preferred people, avoiding organisational action, excluding many people, including the founding president of the organisation, Tafazzel Hossain Ronu.
In addition, he continued to spread propaganda against everyone, including President Tafazzel Hossain Ronu. He also sent messages from his own mobile phone to attack many people and threatened to harass Jamaat-Shibir workers online.
In this situation, based on the ongoing investigation based on previous allegations and considering recent activities, M Salauddin was permanently expelled today, September 8, with the approval of the Honourable President of Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad, Tofazzel Hossain Ronu and the central senior leaders for violating organisational discipline.
In addition, the founding Senior Vice President, Professor Dr. Arif Khan, was elected as the General Secretary.
Under the leadership of Tofazzel Hossain Ronu, Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad has already received the approval of the People’s Leader, Sheikh Hasina. Besides, it is a registered organisation in England, the US, Canada and South America. Therefore, if M. Salauddin or his associates carry out any activities using the name of this organisation, legal action will be taken against all concerned.
