Awami League Activist Hacked to Death in Chattogram

An Awami League activist was brutally hacked to death in Chattogram, causing tension and panic in the area.

According to local sources, the victim was an active member of the Awami League and had long been involved in local politics. On the day of the incident, he was walking along a road in his neighborhood when a group of assailants suddenly attacked him. The attackers used sharp weapons to repeatedly strike him, leaving him critically injured, and at one point slit his veins.

Locals rescued him in a critical condition and rushed him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Following the incident, tension spread throughout the area. Additional police have been deployed to maintain law and order. Police said they are investigating all possible motives behind the attack, including political rivalry, prior enmity, or personal disputes.

Meanwhile, the victimโ€™s family has demanded swift justice and the immediate arrest of those responsible. Local Awami League leaders strongly condemned the killing and called for exemplary punishment for the perpetrators.

Police stated that efforts are ongoing to identify and arrest those involved, and the situation is currently under control.
