The detention of a five-year-old child has raised questions among the public. Under Bangladeshโ€™s legal framework, there are special provisions regarding the detention or arrest of individuals under the age of 18. Locals have questioned how such a young child could be taken into custody.

Critics also questioned the issue of child safety, noting that current government leader Tarique Rahman has spoken about ensuring the safety and protection of children. They asked where that security is today if a five-year-old child can be detained in such circumstances.

No official statement from the concerned police station was available regarding the incident.
