Bangladeshi Man Saleh Ahmed Killed in Iranโ€™s Retaliatory Attack in the UAE

At least three people, including a Bangladeshi national, have been reported killed following Iranโ€™s retaliatory attack in the United Arab Emirates. The deceased Bangladeshi has been identified as Saleh Ahmed, son of Chhabor Ali, a resident of the Gaziteka area in Barlekha upazila of Moulvibazar district.

His cousin, Mahbub Alam Chowdhury, an expatriate living in the UAE, confirmed the news of his death on Sunday night (March 1). According to him, Saleh Ahmed had been working in the UAE as a delivery man for a long time.

Family sources said that on Saturday evening (February 28), Saleh left for work after finishing Iftar. Around that time, Iran reportedly carried out a retaliatory strike in the UAE. During the attack, an explosion occurred and Saleh Ahmed was critically injured and died on the spot.

Local sources said that citizens of several countries were affected by the attack, and so far at least three deaths have been reported. The incident has cast a shadow of grief among the Bangladeshi expatriate community.

Meanwhile, when the news of Saleh Ahmedโ€™s death reached his family back home, a wave of mourning spread across the area. His family members have requested government assistance to bring his body back to Bangladesh as soon as possible.

Members of the Bangladeshi expatriate community described Saleh Ahmed as a calm and hardworking person. Although he lived abroad for work, he maintained regular contact with his family.
Relatives said that efforts are currently underway to contact the relevant authorities to arrange the repatriation of his body.
