The Bangladesh Awami League has expressed deep concern over the attacks on people of all faiths and beliefs by the state-sponsored mobs.
โNo one is able to live according to their own ideology. Under the direct patronage of these illegitimate occupiers, a new form of mob terror has been unleashed in Bangladesh. As a result, these mobs do not hesitate to attack any individual or community outside their own faith and ideology. Shrines, mosques, temples, and other religious institutions have not been spared from their assaults,โ the party said in a statement on Monday.
Recently, shrines and khanqahs have been attacked in Cumilla, Mymensingh, Rajbari and Dinajpur, and Durga idols have been vandalised in different districts.

Since this illegitimate group seized state power, killings have been carried out against Hindus and other minority communities. During last yearโs Sharadiya Durga festival, temples and idols were attacked in a series of incidents and jihadists of Jamaat-Shibir-Hefazat created chaos in many puja pavilions.

This year, even before the Durga Puja festival began, idols were vandalised in temples and puja pavilions across Gazipur, Kushtia, Gaibandha, Netrokona, and Jamalpur, the statement said.
โWe believe that safeguarding the freedom of people of all beliefs to express themselves and to live according to their own ideology was one of the central aspirations of our Great Liberation Warโan aspiration that this illegitimate, murderous fascist Yunus government has destroyed.
โCommunal harmony is a vital part of the rich heritage of the Bengali people. To preserve this spirit of communal harmony, the Bangladesh Awami League will continue its ideological struggle against these evil forces,โ the Awami League said.
