Allegations Surrounding Confession of Faisal Karim in Meghalaya Arrest: Claims Involving Mirza Abbas Emerge

Fresh discussions have emerged in political circles following the arrest of Faisal Karim in Meghalaya, India. Speaking at an online talk show, retired military officer Lt. Col. Hasinur Rahman claimed that Faisal Karim made significant disclosures in a statement given before an Indian magistrate.

According to his claim, the statement mentions that BNP Standing Committee member Mirza Abbas provided Faisal Karim with 5 million BDT (50 lakh taka). It was further alleged that 1 million BDT (10 lakh taka) of the total amount was paid instantly in cash.

During the talk show, Hasinur Rahman stated, โ€œIn his statement before the magistrate, it was mentioned that Mirza Abbas gave 50 lakh taka, and 10 lakh taka was paid immediately in cash.โ€ He also suggested that the disclosure could create political pressure.

The discussion further alleged that following Faisal Karimโ€™s arrest and the emergence of these claims, Mirza Abbas suddenly fell ill and was admitted to a hospital in the capital. However, no independent confirmation of this claim has been.
