Rohel Khan, a talented and well-known Rohingya rapper and singer staying in one of the refugee camps of Coxโs Bazar, has earned widespread popularity within the community.
His recent song release on YouTube has garnered hundreds of thousands of views, along with significant praise and support from ordinary refugees.
However, a concern has emerged.
A small but growing group of radical Islamic students has begun issuing questionable fatwas, mocking Rohel Khan and even issuing threats.
These reactions intensified after the rapper shared an explanation regarding his artistic work on his Facebook page.

On Friday, a large gathering was held in Balukhali 1, Campย 9, which is a hub for Rohingya terrorists.
Video footage from the event shows several Rohingya students, along with a few scholars, speaking aggressively and making indirect threats toward Rohel Khan.
Some of the speakers are from the Hathazari Madrasa in Chittagong, the stronghold of the radical Islamist group Hefazat-e-Islam.

Following the rally, the rapper, his family members and fans expressed concern and urged the Bangladeshi security officials and the UNHCR to ensure his safety and well-being.
The rally was organised to intimidate Rohel Khan and his supporters, who asked the Islamists not to harass the rapper.
Rights activists say the threat against Rohel Khan is not a rare event.
The conservatives and radical Islamists, mostly linked to the armed group Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA), among the Rohingya refugees, conduct vigilance activities in the camps, threaten people and sometimes issue fatwas to preach their form of Islam.
The ASRA operatives enjoy impunity from the Yunus regime and are linked to Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh. They are also accused of intimidating and attacking the minority Christians and Hindus among the refugees, alongside armed robberies and brutal murders.
