As part of its campaign for democracy, dignity, and freedom, the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has declared a 19-day programme to force the self-proclaimed chief adviser, Muhammad Yunus, to resign.
In a statement issued on Saturday, BCL President Saddam Hussain and General Secretary Sheikh Wali Aaif Enan urged the party supporters to spread the slogan, “Remove Yunus, Save Bangladesh,” online and offline from July 27 to August 14.
Describing the absence of the rule of law, corruption, inefficiencies, and mismanagement of the interim government, the statement said there will be no peace as long as the fascist Yunus is in power.

Today, Bangladesh is scarred by the boundless greed of Yunus, who seized power through conspiracy and terrorism. His illegal and unconstitutional government, a puppet of the defeated forces of 1971, has established a reign of terror by resorting to mob terrorism, murder, rape, extortion, looting, nepotism, impunity, suppressing movements by shooting and sound grenades, destroying the employment of millions of people, exploiting the poor, and creating inequality through corruption and quotas.

In order to cling to power in the face of public anger over all these misdeeds, Yunus is resorting to reforms, drawing a blueprint for amending and repealing the constitution, and selling the country’s independence and sovereignty to Pakistan and the Western masters.
After the Gopalganj massacre on July 16, when at least five people were shot dead for protesting provocative statements by Yunusโ National Citizen Party (NCP), the Bangladesh Awami League announced a hartal and asked the party leaders and activists to prepare for the โLong March to Jamuna.โ
