An Awami League leader, Mohammad Shamim, was abducted from his in-laws’ residence and brutally killed in Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram, sparking fear and concern among local residents.

The incident occurred on Wednesday night (April 8) in the Middle Bhaterkhil area of Muradpur Union. According to reports, Shamim was called out from his in-laws’ house and subsequently taken away by a group of armed attackers, who later hacked him and slit his veins, leading to his death.
