Nobel for Yunus meant for gaining control of Chittagong Port, Bay of Bengal

The long-term lease of the Laldia container terminal of Chittagong Port and the Pangaon container terminal of Keraniganj, Dhaka, through a secret agreement with two foreign companies on November 17, has irked political party leaders, teachers, journalists, human rights activists, security analysts, labour leaders and workers. The entire process was completed without following any rules, and the agreement was signed in just a few days.

Similar haste is seen in the case of the new mooring terminal of Chittagong Port. However, after a hearing on Thursday, the High Court stopped the government from carrying out activities related to this terminal.

Political analysts say that Yunus is now fulfilling the assignment given by the Western powers, which helped him get the Nobel Prize in 2006, provide technical support to the US-backed 1/11 government, and assume the office of the chief adviser in 2024. The way he is selling off the country, it appears that independence, sovereignty, democracy, rule of law, and a non-communal society without exploitation are of no value to him.

The daily Prothom Alo dated October 16, 2006

Regarding the container terminal agreements, former intelligence officer Aminul Hoque Polash posted on his Facebook wall a newspaper clipping, dated October 16, 2006, three days after he received the Nobel Peace Prize together with Grameen Bank. The news item was about Yunus addressing a civic reception program in Chittagong, suggesting handing over the Chittagong Port to foreigners in the name of freeing it.

The caretaker government, supported by the army, took office on January 11, 2007. Efforts to implement Minus Two began with foreign support. Yunus announced the formation of a political party called Nagorik Shakti on February 17, 2007. However, he withdrew from the plan after only two and a half months without receiving the minimum response from the countrymen.

Polash said that Yunus could not do it in 2007. But in 2024, he seized power through a meticulously designed jihadist-army coup. Now, he is handing over the country’s ports to his Western masters.

This time, he will make the country a vassal state of the West. His only goal is to repay the foreign masters who created him, and all his arrangements are for this purpose. The big lesson of history is that no one learns from history.

Activist ABM Sirajul Hossain made almost the same comment. He wrote on Facebook that Yunus was given the Nobel Prize on the condition of capturing the Chittagong port and sea… a plan was hatched to remove BNP chief Khaleda Zia and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina from politics, a theory known as Minus Two and masterminded by Yunus.

This force had more alternative plans. They tried to kill Sheikh Hasina through the BDR mutiny, start a civil war, use the Jakarta method, kill 1 million Awami League and Liberation War supporters, and occupy the country.

Then they attempted again in 2014-15 through the arson movement. They became successful in unseating the Awami League on August 5, 2024, when they had a plan to assassinate Sheikh Hasina, said Sirajul.

Researchers mention more life attempts on Sheikh Hasina and attempts to grab power in the last 16 years, especially the Hefazat rally on May 5, 2013; the Shibir-run anti-quota movement in 2018; and the opposition grand rally on October 28, 2023.
