On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Iftar was distributed among around 2,000 fasting people in different areas of Mymensingh under the initiative of Tofazzel Hossain Ronu.
It is learned that the Iftar distribution program was organized with the overall support of Tofazzel Hossain Ronu, a South Korea–based Awami League leader, Convener of the South Korea Awami League, and President of the Central Executive Committee of the Sheikh Hasina Sangram Parishad (Sheikh Hasina Struggle Council).

Among the recipients, 1,000 fasting people were provided Iftar in Balikha Union under Tarakanda Upazila, 500 in Phulpur Upazila, and another 500 in Mymensingh City.
The Iftar gathering witnessed a large participation from local residents. During the event, more than a hundred Hafez-e-Quran participated in completing the recitation of the Holy Qur’an. Special prayers were offered seeking the well-being and long life of the family of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Prayers were also offered for the peace and prosperity of the country, the nation, and the Muslim Ummah.

Leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Awami League, along with poor, distressed, and underprivileged fasting people from different areas, attended the program and broke their fast together.
The organizers said the initiative was taken to stand beside poor and disadvantaged people during the holy month of Ramadan. They expressed hope that such humanitarian activities would continue in the future.
Local residents said that such initiatives during Ramadan play an important role in strengthening compassion, unity, and humanitarian values in society.
