By Professor Dr. A .K. Abdul Momen Nobel Peace Prize winner Dr. Muhammad Yunus has said that Bangladeshis are world champions in fraud. He has mentioned fake passports, fake certificates, fake titles or positions, fake certificates, and so on. However, he did not say that nearly 1,50,000 Rohingyas are being given fake passports, or notably that he himself was appointed chief adviser through the forgery of judges’ signatures. He also did not mention that his “three-zero” or three zeros theory and “social business” are collected from others’ lines of thought. And the upcoming February 12 national vote is the trump card of fraud. Perhaps that is why he said this.
Borrowed Ideas
In 2015, UN member states adopted the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) proposal by 2030. Its main goal is to make the world hunger-free and poverty-free—no one will die of hunger, and there will be employment opportunities for all.
Bangladesh’s Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina strongly appealed to include everyone in the development highway, even those who are dropouts or disabled. Her proposals on autism and other disabilities and people’s empowerment were unanimously adopted by 193 UN countries in 2012. She said that “no one should be left behind,” which the UN incorporated into its SDGs.
Analysis shows that from this SDG concept, Muhammad Yunus invented his famous ideas of zero hunger and zero unemployment.

At the 2015 Paris climate conference, the world decided that to save the planet, no more carbon emissions would be allowed, and that beyond 1.5 degrees would not be permissible. Dr. Muhammad Yunus added this carbon emission issue from the climate conference to his Three-Zero theory. Therefore, analysis reveals that his Three-Zero is not an original invention; it is also borrowed.
Similarly, his concept of “social business” is not original. Like the world-famous economist Karl Marx, people should not do business only for profit—they should work with the great ideals of social respect, influence, prestige, and helping people. Profit is not primary. Karl Marx’s theory could not be implemented in practice. Professor Yunus’ social business is a colourful reflection of Karl Marx’s communist thought. Therefore, considering all this, both his three-zero and social business are borrowed from others. These are not original inventions. Analysts believe that since those who first thought of these were not properly honoured and respected, it is equivalent to plagiarism. In plain language, fraud.
The Beginning Of Fraud In Childhood
From Professor Yunus’ own writings, we learn that he started committing fraud while in school. In his childhood, he cheated his classmate and enjoyed the prize for a whole year. He did not see this cheating or fraud as bad; instead, he considered it his smartness.
Grameen’s Main Founder Is The Government
The Grameen project in Jobra village, Chittagong, was started by the Bangladesh government with assistance from a foreign institution. The Bangladesh government ran the project through Chittagong University. Since Dr. Yunus was a teacher at Chittagong University, he was associated with it.

Later, in 1982, then Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith, at Dr. Yunus’ request, converted this project into Grameen Bank, and eight years later, in 1990, Dr. Muhammad Yunus was appointed its Managing Director.
He was not an MD for five years, but for a long time. Recently, he proposed that government employees should not serve more than five years. However, in 2009, when he was given notice to leave the MD post according to government service rules, he refused to resign and sued the government.
Owner Of Thousands Of Crores
The court verdict went against him because, according to government rules, he could not stay as MD after age 60. Since he was a Nobel Prize winner, the government, out of respect, proposed appointing him as Chairman of Grameen Bank. He did not accept it and sued the government again. Even after losing the case, he kept several thousand square feet of the Grameen Bank building under his control for one taka. While MD of Grameen Bank, using the Grameen name and misusing Grameen funds, he established about 48 institutions at home and abroad.
Once, a Dutch journalist accused him of corruption and irregularities, saying he misused the donation given by the Dutch government to Grameen Bank. Using money and influence, the matter was hushed up.
Sheikh Hasina Was Yunus’ Biggest Supporter
The Sheikh Hasina government supported Dr. Muhammad Yunus and Grameen Bank in every way, and Sheikh Hasina’s contribution is the greatest behind Dr. Yunus’ fame. In 1996, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina attended the first Micro Credit Summit as Co-Chairman, leading US First Lady Hillary Clinton and Sweden’s Queen Silvia to attend. Sheikh Hasina took various initiatives to introduce Grameen Bank to the world. She asked her UN Permanent Representative, Anwarul Karim Chowdhury, to establish the “Grameen Friends Caucus.” About 77 countries became members.

In 1998, when Grameen Bank was on the verge of bankruptcy due to devastating floods, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina gave nearly Tk400 crore in grants to save it. To help poor people, she approved the GrameenPhone business for Grameen Bank.
However, in 2009, to keep the MD post, Dr. Yunus lobbied through many famous personalities worldwide, including Ireland’s President Mary Robinson and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. But the court verdict could not be changed. After age 60, staying as an MD was impossible, and his age was about 71 then.
At the same time, various government agencies like the Revenue Department found that he had evaded about Tk660 crore in income tax for many years. Employees of his institutions sued in the labour court, saying he did not pay their dues, several thousand crore taka. He was found guilty in those cases.
When he requested that Sheikh Hasina cancel the cases, she did not, leading to extreme anger toward her. So, he started obstructing all of Sheikh Hasina’s development activities. It is said that he used Hillary Clinton to get the then-World Bank president to cancel the Padma Bridge loan agreement. Notably, the World Bank president cancelled the Padma Bridge project loan on the day he retired. However, soon after becoming chief adviser, he cancelled all court verdicts against him. After becoming chief adviser, he personally approved and grabbed about 26 facilities and benefits for himself, including a profitable manpower business and university commerce.
He Did Not Win The Nobel Prize Alone
Dr. Yunus publicised all of Grameen’s achievements in his own name and took the Nobel Prize for himself. Although one woman from Grameen Bank jointly received the prize, through fraud, he enjoyed it alone. When receiving the prize, that woman took it, but later he sidelined her. Moreover, during the prize acceptance, he fraudulently showed that poor women from Jobra village built huge buildings with microcredit. Actually, that house belonged to an expatriate from the area. Here, he resorted to fraud.
Many Borrowers Lost Everything
According to data from a Washington-based research institution, among those who took loans from Grameen Bank, 91% became burdened with even more debt. Many lost their homes and were harmed. However, Dr. Yunus’ propaganda is so strong that these research results did not become widely known. In another PKSF study in Bangladesh, economist Dr. Kazi Khaliquzzaman Ahmed highlighted how many families became destitute due to high-interest Grameen microcredit.

Father Of Microcredit?
Muhammad Yunus tried hard to establish himself as the father of microcredit, even though he knew that 20 years before his Grameen Bank in 1982, the first rural bank was established in Colombia, South America, in 1962. It is known that Rabindranath in Bengal and Sir Fazle Abed’s BRAC provided microcredit before him.
When Professor Yunus was a student of economics at Vanderbilt University in America, employees from Colombia’s microcredit bank were receiving training there. Their bank’s main obstacle was repayment, which was not a problem for Grameen Bank, and Dr. Yunus’s method of capital and interest recovery is a commendable innovation.
Is The Upcoming Election Full Of Fraud?
In reality, Yunus’ life is full of fraud. His character trait, full of fraud—considering his own position—he labelled the entire Bengali nation with the stigma of fraud, which is completely unacceptable. He must apologise to the nation for this.

Be careful. On February 12, he is going to hold a staged election. In this election, the country’s largest party, the Awami League, will not be able to participate. Awami League is an election-oriented party. It participates in all elections. But this time, the fraud champion Dr. Muhammad Yunus will not let them contest. This will harm the Awami League, but the government will suffer greater harm. Because this election will not be acceptable.
Moreover, those who win this staged election may face great danger from Yunus’s fraud and become disappointed. Those who win the election may doubt whether they can form the government. Those who win the election will become members of a constituent assembly, not parliament. Their job will be to grant immunity to all the misdeeds, corruption, looting, terrorism, murders, etc., of the illegal Yunus government. Therefore, be careful. So, boycotting this staged election is appropriate for all parties and opinions and for the entire nation.
