In Jhenaidah, local farmers organized a human chain protest demanding immediate action. Carrying the slogan, \u201cEnsure fuel and electricity for farmers\u2014save farmers to save the country,\u201d participants highlighted the urgent need for reliable diesel and power supply for irrigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Farmers that irregular electricity and limited fuel supply are making it difficult to irrigate fields on time, directly affecting crop production. At the same time, fertilizer shortages have further complicated the situation, increasing uncertainty for the upcoming harvest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They warned that if the crisis is not resolved quickly, it could lead to a significant drop in agricultural output. Such a decline would not only harm farmers but also threaten the country\u2019s food security and overall economic stability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Speakers at the protest emphasized that ignoring farmers\u2019 legitimate demands could have long-term consequences for the economy and everyday life of citizens.
