Former Prime Minister and President of the Bangladesh Awami League, Sheikh Hasina, has strongly criticized the current state of the country, saying, \u201cI left everything in a systematic order, but today the country has been plunged into darkness.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a recent statement, she claimed that every sector of the country was managed in a planned and disciplined manner during her tenure. Recalling that she had left behind a budget of approximately BDT 797,000 crore, she alleged that mismanagement and failure on the part of the current authorities have led to crises across multiple sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Referring to the power sector, she stated that while her government had ensured electricity reached households across the country, the present situation is marked by power plants remaining shut, leaving people in darkness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
She also expressed strong concern over the health sector. According to her, the child immunization rate, which stood at around 94 percent during her government, has significantly declined under the current administration. She questioned the use of allocated funds for vaccines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her remarks, she held Dr. Muhammad Yunus and BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman responsible for the deterioration in child health and rising child mortality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Addressing the agricultural sector, Sheikh Hasina said that during her tenure, 16.2 million genuine farmers were provided with agricultural cards and fertilizers. She alleged that at present, benefits are being misallocated to ineligible individuals posing as farmers, while genuine farmers suffer from fertilizer shortages and are deprived of fair prices for their produce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
