The European Awami League organised a human chain at the front gate of the Norwegian Nobel Institute <\/a>on Tuesday, in protest against the ongoing human rights violations in Bangladesh under the usurper Yunus regime.<\/p>\n\n\n

Later, the leaders and activists submitted a petition to the Nobel Committee, demanding the cancellation of the Nobel Peace Prize<\/a> awarded to Muhammad Yunus in 2006, <\/span>under the influence of former US President Bill Clinton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The petition highlighted all the evil deeds of the illegal regime, including mob culture and impunity for criminals.<\/p>\n\n\n

At the human chain, they displayed banners and posters which portrayed persecution of the Awami League supporters, minority communities and the police massacre and how the perpetrators have been given impunity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also highlighted the Yunus regime\u2019s efforts to undermine the 1971 Liberation War and Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.<\/p>\n\n\n

The banners highlighted the abuse of power by the Bangladesh Army in Gopalganj, where at least five protesters were shot dead, and its inaction to stop mob attacks across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, a meeting was organised by the European Awami League to commemorate the August 15 assassination of Bangabandhu and most of his family members in a hall.<\/p>\n\n\n

European Awami League General Secretary Lincoln Mollah moderated the discussion, presided over by President KM Lokman Hossain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Honourable Prime Minister and Awami League President Desh Ratna Sheikh Hasina spoke at the meeting as the chief guest. At one point, she spoke to the leaders in a video call\u2014for the first time in a year.<\/p>\n\n\n

In her speech, Sheikh Hasina asked the leaders and activists to work unitedly. She also asked them to write letters to domestic and foreign human rights organisations and hold protest programs in different countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheikh Hasina added that she will return to the country again and hold everyone responsible for capturing power, murders, rapes, looting and arson attacks. She reiterated that her party will forgive the general students and the parents who had been misguided by the evil force.<\/p>\n\n\n

Organising Secretary Tanmoy Sikder played a very important role in making this program successful. In his speech, he said that fortresses will be built in every country in Europe to strengthen the party and stage protests against the unconstitutional regime.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
