Bangladesh is at a critical juncture in its history. On the one hand, there is murder, rape<\/a>, mob <\/a>violence, and extrajudicial killings; on the other hand, there is economic disaster and unemployment of millions of people. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everything is taking the form of a planned misrule. The people of this country are no longer just victims, but victims of a state conspiracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloodstains of the Yunus regime<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The so-called \u201ctransitional government\u201d led by Yunus has repeatedly been proven to be based only on vengeance. Under his rule, the judiciary has become a farce, where innocent political activists, civil society, journalists<\/a>, professors, and even lawyers are not being spared. On the other hand, the violence of Islamic extremists and the repression of minorities continue under the administrative umbrella.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

August 5th, the beginning of conspiracies, the coming of darkness<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Yunus-led group seized power in a planned armed uprising on August 5, 2024, killing members of the country’s security forces. This is the beginning of a dangerous chapter. Terrorism, fear, and the rule of law have completely collapsed in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Violence against minorities: a state of silence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since Yunus took power, there has been unprecedented violence against minorities<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 In just 15 days, from August 5 to 20, at least 1,068 houses, businesses, and 22 places of worship of minorities were attacked in 49 of the country’s 64 districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 According to the Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council, 23 minorities were killed in 174 communal attacks in the four-and-a-half months from August 21 to December 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 In 11 months, more than 300 temples in the country have been attacked, vandalised, and set on fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 180 people were killed in the mob attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Innocent leaders and activists of the Awami League are being attacked with vengeance, and these criminals are being given impunity. 115 former members of parliament are in jail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mass arrest and torture; brutal tactics to retain power<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

More than 360,000 people have been arrested as part of the crackdown, and 27 have died in custody. Almost all sections of society\u2014civil society, intellectuals, lawyers, journalists, government officials\u2014are trapped in this vicious circle of vengeance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The collapse of Bangladesh’s economy<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr Yunus was once a spokesperson for poverty alleviation; today, he is a symbol of poverty spreader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In just 10 months\u2014<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 50 million people are living in poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 3 million people have been pushed into poverty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purchasing power of millions of people has come down to zero.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2022 Countries with 7% growth are below 3% today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Investors are fleeing, and the economy’s <\/a>wheels have stopped. Even in the international arena, Yunus’s government is seen as an incompetent, failed, illegitimate, and power-hungry ruler who clings to power without caring for the people’s verdict.<\/p>\n\n\n

The name of an unelected regime filled with terrorism is the \u201cYunus government\u201d today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the true form of the “Poverty Hunter,” who today is a supporter of terrorism, a direct example of minority oppression, and a dictator who put the last nail in the coffin of democracy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Bangladesh is in the midst of a political and moral crisis. Where is the time to ask this question?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
